They have a little bit of everything plus restaurant style meals like burrito supremes, chicken and beef tacos (excellent) and many more items and specials to choose from. Beautiful court yard sesting in the back, we love it.

The folks who work here do a good job providing a wide range of products on the shelves and on the griddle. It's like a general store for our area. Reliable with a nice little sitting area where you can take a break from your day and eat your sandwich or drink your shake.

I love their date shakes! We were there about 3 weeks ago and we always have to stop there and get a shake before we leave Palm Springs before heading back to Indiana. They have really good tacos too.

I lived near this place for 20yrs, it was staple in my life. GREAT food, great prices, and amazing owners. The beef stroganoff is life altering.

The date shake is amazing BUT the amount of waste they produce on the daily is insane and heartbreaking. Hundreds of styrofoam cups and straws a day since they are a favorite stop for the tour groups. This would be 5 stars if they would consider their footprint and think about the impact they have. Perhaps reusable cups since people stay in the courtyard, and paper cups and paper straws to take away? Just a suggestion.

Great date shake.Handing folks dates by hand in the middle of a public health crisis was a bit odd.Inside and outside could use some work. Was actually scared to try the food with how the place looks, although the "A" rating helped assuage that.Do recommend stopping at this little shop and grabbing a shake. Recommend the owners try and do some aesthetic updates, though, too!

Best Date Shakes in town!

Small market on the corner of the highway with delicious milkshakes! Their date shakes are a splendid treat and they also have some essential goods ranging from canned goods to personal essentials. There is a quaint seating area in the back and the staff are very friendly. Definitely a must stop when in the area.

We first stopped at this nondescript little spot on a celebrity bus tour for a date shake. Now we come back every year. The same nice hardworking folks are here every time. It's small but they have a good variety and there are a lot of funny signs.

This is a hole in the wall that you do not want to miss! The windmill market is an absolute Jem! You would never know looking from the outside what you will discover on the inside. The different types of lunch specials that they have are incredible for reasonable prices. They have a lovely oasis type style patio in the back where you can sit and enjoy your lunch or your date shakes. The date shakes are absolutely phenomenal. Instead of using date crystals, they actually use the dates themselves which is a huge difference in the taste. It’s easy to miss this location because it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere between North Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs. It’s just south of Dillon Road on Indian Canyon. This place you have to check out.

We love this place. Their date shakes are the best and it's a refreshing experience to sit it the courtyard sipping on the shake. I can't wait to return to try their deli (meals) as well. And the staff is super friendly.

Lee: The owner is a working boss. Known him since he first bought the market. Love he's date shakes!! And his variety of packaged dates. Only the best here in the valley for his customer's. And hope to die sandwiches, and specialty daily meals. Lee is a very good person. We need more like him.

The courtyard is a cute surprise, and the people are very friendly. They do have a good selection of dates. But I'm sorry, the prepared food is terrible. When people say it's like home cooked they must mean you'd be better off cooking at home. There is not one thing on the menu that I wouldn't call wasted calories. If you have one hand and a microwave you can make healthier and tastier food.

Best date shake in Palm Springs / Desert Hot Springs! We have been here 3 times in the last couple weeks for their date shakes. You can get small, medium or large sizes. You can actually taste the chunks of dates they put in it. On our last visit we decided to have lunch. We ordered a roast beef sandwich on a French roll and a pastrami sandwich on rye. Good meat and fresh bread. Grab some of there delicious dates! They have an outdoor seating area that feels like home. Beautiful flowers and tons of sunshine.

A little gem in North Palm Springs. We wanted to experience one of those famous date shakes, so based on reviews, we pulled up to this quaint little building on a corner road and went inside. Besides offering standard and not-so-standard grocery store items, they have a takeout counter for some pretty awesome lunch dishes. We did order the date shake - it lived up to its rep 👍🏼. We also decided that we were hungry and ordered a pastrami sandwich and one of their lunch specials - fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Excellent quality and generous portions. There is a little garden oasis in their backyard that diners can sit in and enjoy - complete with flowers, ornaments, patio chairs and tables and a lovely lime tree to provide shade. Staff were great. Lucky Palm Springs to have them.

The coolest little corner store. Great fresh made sandwiches, hotdogs, and tacos and a different entree every day. Lots of old timey craft sodas and funny, campy signs on the walls. Lovely little back garden to sit and enjoy your meal. The owners and staff are great. A unique, local, family-owned business.

Anytime I'm near the Windmill Market I always stop in. Their service is impeccable, their food is amazing, and the kickback area behind the building is also a nice relaxing spot to enjoy your meal.

The date shake was great ! Three of us, three 👎. 2 meatloaf dinners, a taco and a burrito ( it's not really a burrito, just a big mess into a folded tortilla ). All mediocre at best.
